Partnerships Assistant

Part time role for an effective communicator and experienced account manager- 14 hours per week

 

Overall purpose of the role
To provide Partnership support to organisations participating in the National Volunteering Database published through www.do-it.org.uk and the Partnerships team

This role is a terrific way to learn about the voluntary and community sector.

Key areas of responsibility:
•Responsible for organising YouthNet's training provision to partner organisations
•Assist Account Managers in implementing renewal strategies for partner management systems
•Provide outstanding account management to potential and existing content providers ensuring quality control standards and contractual obligations are met
•Assist the Partnerships team with financial administration
•Assisting Account Managers by collating and producing content for our monthly partners' newsletter re@d-it! and other partner communications

Reporting to:
Membership Services Manager

Responsible for:
Volunteers/freelancers/interns etc as appropriate

Location
The organisation's head office, currently in Old Street, London

Main tasks and responsibilities:
•To be responsible for organising training courses for new and existing content partners
•Manage ongoing relationships with volunteering opportunity providers
•To support the New Partnerships team in the recruitment of new partners for YouthNet's projects
•Provide excellent customer care when responding to general enquiries from volunteers and volunteer opportunity providers
•Assist the Partnerships team in the financial administration associated with products and services supplied by YouthNet to partner organisations
•To liaise with the technical team to ensure good support to partners on partner management systems
•To assist in obtaining feedback from partners using partner management systems
•To produce statistical reports for partner organisations as and when required.
•Provide updates for YouthNet's Senior Management Team, Board of Trustees and Advisory Groups.
•Contribute to and produce regular communications for partners and stakeholders keeping them informed and motivated
•Report on key performance indicators outlined in projects
•Assist with marketing and PR initiatives to promote YouthNet services to the general public.
•Any other related duties as requested by the Memberships Services Manager

Person Specification

Experience/Knowledge:
Essential
•Experience of youth participation and volunteering
•Proven track record in successful account management or similar skills/experience.
•Experience of financial administration
•Understanding of and passion for volunteering
•Understanding of the issues that affect young people
Passion for and interest in the application of communications technology

Desirable
•Experience and skills in new business development, negotiation, project management and liaison, building and maintaining partnerships/relationships
•Experience of developing and delivering training to users of varying technical ability
•Experience working with volunteers
•Experience working in marketing
•Experience of working with Salesforce and Exact Target

Skills/Competencies:
•Good short and long planning skills
•Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
•Diplomacy, tact and the ability to build and maintain relationships
•Computer literate and database skills
•Self-starter with initiative and drive and able to prioritise time and work effectively

Terms and conditions

Salary: £18,000 per annum- pro rata (£7200.00 pa)
Status of Employment:Your employment is intended to be permanent.
Hours of Work:This post is part-time (preferably 2 days a week although YouthNet will consider other options) on a six month contract.
Holidays:25 days per year plus UK bank holidays (pro rata)
