First 500 Club – helping us help them

Think back to when you were 16…

Can you remember a time when you really needed help? When you felt completely alone? When you were scared about a situation and didn’t know where to turn?

Hannah repeatedly attempted suicide after battling depression, an eating disorder and bullying. She attributes much of her recovery to the anonymous information and support she received from YouthNet’s ground-breaking website TheSite.org.

“I really believe that the support I had online is what helped me make the first steps, it built up my inner strength and helped to knock down the barriers I had put up. I still go back to TheSite.org whenever I’m having a bad patch, because I know I can rely on it. TheSite.org keeps me going.”  Hannah, 17

A place to turn…

A young person visits TheSite.org every 20 seconds looking for help, information and advice from experts and peers on anything from self-harm to homework.

For only £500 a year (£33 a month plus £9 gift aid which we claim on your behalf) you could become a member of the YouthNet First 500 Club. Your generosity could help over 300 young people a year make choices today for a brighter tomorrow.

“Now I’m in my first year of Uni. I’m more confident and can talk about my problems because I’m proud of how far I’ve come.” Hannah

“It’s only through the generosity and commitment of our supporters that we can continue to be there for people like Hannah.”  Martyn Lewis CBE, YouthNet Chairman and Founder
