Trevor Phillips connects to young people online
Online charity YouthNet is to host an internet discussion with the Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Trevor Phillips on Thursday 26 March.
Young people are invited to join the chat and pose questions to Trevor around identity, human rights and diversity through YouthNet's online guide to life TheSite.org, as well as find out more about the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Trevor was appointed to his role at the Commission in 2006 and has since played a critical role in raising awareness of issues surrounding race, equality and human rights. His decision to take part in the chat comes as part of the EHRC's continued commitment to focus on Britain's youth population.
Fiona Dawe, Chief Executive of YouthNet said: "Online conversations provide a unique opportunity for young people to engage in important issues that directly affect their lives. The idea around this discussion is that it will enable young people to ask Trevor questions in real time and connect with someone who would normally be perceived as 'out of reach' to this audience."
