TheSite.org charity partners
If you're part of an organisation that knows its stuff, we want to hear from you.
askTheSite partnerships
The seven partners working on our askTheSite service mean that young people can also communicate directly with experts. All our partners are fabulously dedicated and without them we wouldn't be able to help the hundreds of young people that ask questions every month.
Through our partnerships with well-known information providers, askTheSite offers free, confidential answers to questions within three working days. Since launching the service with our General Health partner, bss, and our Relationships Team we've expanded the service to include five other fantastic partners. Brook answer our Sexual Health questions, SANE deal with anything to do with Mental & Emotional Health, Shelter help our users with their housing problems and Wymondham CAB deal with questions concerned with Legal & Rights and Money. Our latest partner is Addaction who answer all the Drugs & Alcohol questions that come into the service. We also work with Samaritans to provide our users with an emotional net if they're in a crisis.
Our partnership with SANE

Kelly Wright is SANE's Partnerships Support Officer.
"SANE is proud to be working in partnership with YouthNet on their askTheSite service and responds to messages from young people concerned about their own or someone else's mental wellbeing. Common issues and concerns include suicidal thoughts, self harm, depression, anxiety, eating disorders and habitual behaviours.
Although the understanding of mental health amongst the public has greatly improved over recent years, there are still many misconceptions and stigma attached to mental illness. This can leave many people feeling isolated, confused and fearful of asking for help. askTheSite provides an ideal way of helping young people explore the options available to them, in a confidential way. We are also glad to advise YouthNet on the mental health content on TheSite.org, and we're delighted to be working in such an effective partnership."
Choose Action Alliance
Content in our volunteering and activism sections orignated in from a Virtual Volunteers project, run by an alliance of four UK-based youth volunteer organisations, collectively known as the Choose Action Alliance. These are: Changemakers, Worldwide Volunteering, Youth Action Network and YouthNet. The Student Volunteering Team at Volunteering England were also involved in this project, which was funded by v - the youth volunteering charity.
Choose Action harnesses the synergy of these dynamic youth organisations to develop the infrastructure of the youth sector and young people-involving organisations, and to influence policy makers so that young people are at the heart of all they do.
