Charity Partners

Without partners, we simply could not provide our range of services. Are you an organisation we should be working with?

YouthNet works in partnership with a wide collection of local, regional and national organisations on TheSite.org and do-it.org.uk. Many of these are not-for-profit or voluntary organisations but we also work with public sector agencies to deliver our services.

We really value the contribution and effort our partners make to YouthNet and we're always looking for new organisations to work with.

Here's how you can get involved with our projects:

TheSite.org

TheSite.org deals with issues that young people care about and directly affect them. To ensure we provide them with the best information, we work in partnership with lots of other organisations. These organisations help us produce factsheets, case studies and other articles and allow us to signpost young people to expert agencies.

do-it.org.uk's National Volunteering Database (NVD)

Launched in 2001, do-it.org.uk is the most diverse and comprehensive national database of volunteering opportunities in the UK. The opportunities are provided by over 360 Volunteer Centres in England and more than 70 national charities.

Volunteer Centres

YouthNet works in partnership with over 370 Volunteer Centres in England who help smaller organisations advertise and recruit for volunteers through the NVD.  Find out more about our partnership with the Volunteer Centre Network and how your organisation can get involved in this article on Volunteer Centres.

V-Base

Volunteer Centres upload their opportunities to do-it.org.uk by using our volunteering management software V-Base. V-Base is also used by agencies that need a robust and effective database to track, report and manage volunteers, organisations and there associated opportunities. V-Base is the market leader in volunteering management software. You can read more about how V-Base can help your organisation in this article on V-Base.

Online posters

Some organisations (usually national or regional ones) advertise their opportunities directly on do-it.org.uk by using our Online Poster System. If you are recruiting volunteers nationally or regionally you can manage your own opportunities this way. More information is available in this article on online posters.

Syndication

Some of our opportunity providers take advantage of our syndication service which allows them to also publish their volunteering opportunities on their own websites.

We can also syndicate the whole database – even to organisations that don't provide opportunities but want to promote volunteering on their own websites. Find out more about how you can offer a volunteering search on your website in this article on syndication.
