We’re looking for an expert multimedia producer with a passion for supporting young people to develop their own content.

As YouthNet’s multimedia expert, you’ll understand what makes young people want to watch and share your work and how to get under their skin with top-quality information and support content, including emotionally compelling short films.

Ideally you’ll have two or three years’ experience producing films, infographics, audio and social media-friendly content, plus a good understanding of how to manage a YouTube channel. You’ll also be sympathetic to YouthNet’s aim to inform and support 16-25 year olds in the UK, whatever the issue, without judgement.

Our ambition over the next year is to develop a fleet of young vloggers who will anchor’s YouTube channel yet still allow us to continue to push up subscribers and views with high-quality content. So you’ll need to be a supportive and proactive manager of others, able to identify and work with up-and-coming talent and cope with the admin and organisation this takes.

About this role

You’ll work across all YouthNet’s channels and platforms, with a focus on our flagship engagement and support site and corresponding YouTube channel.  Some of your time will be dedicated to supporting other teams with content requirements.

This 12-month, fixed term, full-time role and will sit in the content team, reporting to the Head of Content.

Job Description

We’re looking for an accomplished SEO specialist to join our team – to influence the development and promotion of our flagship (content heavy) website as well as our charity site Candidates will have an excellent understanding of SEO both on and off page and a good knowledge of PPC, and will have minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Overall purpose of the post

YouthNet is the digital lifeline for young people in the UK. We specialise in supporting young people, helping to make life easier for them through the turbulent early adult years of their life.

As a purely digital organisation, YouthNet are looking for an SEO specialist to support the team in implementing and monitoring SEO activities that help us to improve the search rankings of our online content (of which we have over 2000 written articles), so that we can reach and support more young people in the UK.

This role will require the successful candidate to use techniques including but not exclusive to: keyword research and analysis, copy optimisation, article marketing, site structure, URL re-writes, social media support and link building. An understanding of paid search marketing would be an advantage.
